Weather

Most of Canada experiences freezing temperatures during the winter, however the climate on Canada's south-western coast is relatively mild whereas along Canada's border with the Arctic Circle temperatures remain freezing for the majority of the year.

During the Canadian summer, high temperatures up to 30°C along with correspondingly high levels of humidity are experienced in southern Canada.

In Canada's western and south-eastern provinces there is high rainfall.

  • Edmonton: nearby is Elk Island National Park where you can glimpse bison roaming free, or visit the nearby Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village.
  • Quebec: Canada's French-speaking province, known for its plethora of museums. The provincial capital is Montreal, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city and, after Paris, the world's second largest French-speaking city.
  • Niagara Falls - viewing the Falls from the Canadian side offers arguably the best views of this stunning waterfall.
  • Ottawa - Canada's historic capital city.
